Ingredients
- 3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 tablespoon fennel seeds (saunf)
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 green chili, slit (optional)
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Method
- Heat oil in a pan and add fennel seeds. Once they splutter, add onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add tomatoes, green chili, and spices (cumin, coriander, turmeric) and cook until tomatoes soften.
- Add diced potatoes, mix well, and cook covered until potatoes are tender. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
